What it does
Check what a public link returns before putting it in an email, on a poster, or behind a QR code. The checker uses HEAD requests and reports the status and redirects it can observe. Some sites block these requests, so an inconclusive check does not necessarily mean a broken page.

A few useful details
Does a successful response mean the page is safe?
No. An HTTP response does not prove that a site is trustworthy, that its content is correct, or that its scripts work. This is not a security scan.
Why does a link open in my browser but fail this check?
A site may reject HEAD requests, block automated traffic, require a login, or respond differently from another network. The result is one service’s observation, not global uptime.
Can I check a private or signed URL?
Use public links without credentials or secret tokens. The address is sent to the checking service and requested from its destination; private-network targets are not supported.
