What it does
Get a small DNS snapshot when setting up a mailbox or reviewing an email domain. The checker requests MX records, TXT records at the domain, and TXT records at its _dmarc name through Cloudflare DNS. It highlights the records it can observe and keeps unavailable answers distinct from missing records.

A few useful details
Does it prove that email will be delivered?
No. It does not send mail, connect to a mailbox, validate DKIM signatures, or test deliverability. MX absence alone does not prove a domain cannot receive mail, because SMTP has fallback rules.
Is this a full SPF or DMARC validator?
No. It looks for version-tagged TXT records at the exact names queried. It does not evaluate SPF includes or lookup limits, validate every policy tag, or perform organizational-domain DMARC fallback.
Why can a check be inconclusive?
The resolver may be blocked, time out, return an error, or truncate a large answer. Each check uses three DNS lookups and shares the DNS tool allowance. Results are one resolver’s snapshot and are not saved to workspace history.
