What it does
Pull the hostnames out of a small URL list without opening any of the links. Useful for reviewing referring sites, preparing a domain list, or separating website names from paths and tracking parameters. Subdomains are kept exactly as hostnames; this tool does not guess who owns a domain.
Useful when
- Collect the sites in a backlink export.
- Prepare a short list of domains to review.
- Remove paths and repeated hostnames from a URL list.
How to use it
- Paste one URL or hostname per line.
- Extract the hostnames and review any rejected lines.
- Copy the unique list or download a text file.
A few useful details
Does it find the registered domain?
No. It returns full hostnames, retaining subdomains such as shop.example.co.uk. It does not use a public suffix list or turn hostnames into ownership claims.
What happens to international names?
The browser converts international domain names to their ASCII representation. Names are lowercased and a final DNS dot is removed before duplicate checking.
Are the sites visited?
No. Extraction happens in this tab. Use up to 100 non-empty lines and 32 KiB of text. IP addresses, local names, credentials, and unsupported URL schemes are rejected.
