What it does
Update a repeated label, fix a recurring typo, or remove a phrase from plain text. Paste the exact text to find and its replacement, then choose the first occurrence or every non-overlapping match. Matching is literal and case-sensitive, so punctuation and symbols are handled exactly as entered.
Useful when
- Change a repeated event name in a draft announcement.
- Replace a literal placeholder such as {{name}} in sample content.
- Remove a repeated phrase or replace an exact sequence of line breaks.
How to use it
- Paste your draft and enter the exact text you want to find.
- Enter replacement text, or leave it empty to delete matches, and choose whether to replace all.
- Run the replacement, review the count and result, then copy or download the text.
A few useful details
Can I use regular expressions or replacement variables?
No. Search text is literal, including brackets, periods, asterisks, and backslashes. Replacement text is also literal: $1 and
amp; stay exactly as typed. This keeps the operation predictable without evaluating user-supplied patterns. What happens when matches overlap or the replacement includes the search text?
Matches are found from left to right without overlap. Replacing aa in aaa changes only the first two characters. Newly inserted replacement text is never searched again, so replacing a with aa finishes normally.
Can I replace an empty search or make a very large result?
The search must contain at least one character; an empty replacement is allowed. Each input is limited to 100,000 UTF-16 code units, and output is capped at 500,000. Oversized results are rejected before construction. Processing stays in your browser.
